Farmers cut away the trees and pull out the roots after 4-6 years. After clearing the field it is ploughed very deeply with the help of bullocks. Sometimes farmers incorporate gypsum or Chirodi (How much quantity?) in the field before cultivation of any crop in it. While some farmers grow gram (Cicer arietinum) and Okra (Abelmoschus esculautus) in the salt affected soil of Sabarkantha District. |
