For this, one litre of ginger extract is administered orally and made to walk some distance to relieve the gases. Often they are reluctant to walk due to the discomfort, so they might have to be forced.Ginger stimulates gastric discharge and antral contractions in patients with functional dyspepsia, but has no impact on gastrointestinal symptoms or gut peptides.
