Title Steals Fish, Heals Wounds !

Details 20216 Veru as Fish stupefying agent Members of the Mali tribe in Malimarla village of Koraput district use juice extract of the leaves of veru (Chloroxylon swietenia DC.) to make fish numb in the pond water. Thus, the fish which float on the surface are caught easily and fetch a good price in the market. Bark of the plant is used for fish poisoning: Heda N.K and Kulkarni K.M.
