21120 Parthenium as mulch in banana fields
Basavraju lets different weeds grow initially in his Banana field. Later he mulches Parthenium and various other mulches (like straw, leaves, husks, crop residues etc.,) before planting fresh seedling. He thus retains the moisture in the soil and has reported good yields.

21121 White flies in mangoes get tamed
Mahaveer sprays Agni Astra to control while flies attack on mango fruits. He makes the formulation by mixing five kg neem leaves, two kg tobacco powder, three kg garlic and four kg green chillies and 20 litres of cow urine diluted with 200 litres of water. It is kept for 20 days, filtered and then sprayed on the trees to address the problem of white flies
