Title Low cost herbal mosquito repellent

Details Prolonged use of mosquito coils may be bad for human health. On the other hand, sleeping under mosquito nets is uncomfortable. Neelaratna Geekiyanage experimented for years to invent a low cost herbal mosquito repellent (HMR) that can be used instead of harmful mosquito coils. After many years of research, Geekiyanage was finally successful. He simmered small pieces of betel leaves in a solar cooker for about two hours. Then he filtered the liquid, went to the garden and applied it on his legs, hands and cheeks. All mosquitoes around him disappeared. Observing this, Geekiyanage set about testing his repellent further. At night in his room, he put a little amount of HMR into a 1.2W diffuser made by him, and switched it on. He could sleep comfortably without any mosquito coil or net and free from any mosquito bites.
