Title Katheri to Cure Injury in Eye
 
Details Krishnan is a herbal healer. He uses Katheri (Solanum xanthocarpum Schrad & Wendl.) for the treatment of injury in the eyes of the cattle. He extracts juice out of the whole plant. He puts a few drops of the juice in the eyes two to three times a day till they get healed. Katheri (Solanum xanthocarpum Schrad & Wendl.) is reported to cure wound infection (Bisset and Mazars. (1984); J Ethnopharmacol, 2(1): 1-24). Plant also possess antimicrobial (Salar and Suchitra (2009); African Journal of Microbiology Research, 3(3):97-100) and antifungal properties (Batra A., Jaiswal S., Mehta B. K. and Bokadia M. M.
