Title Control through Kanjiram roots
 
Details Crushed root bark (100 g) of Kanjiram tree (Strychnos nux-vomica L) and jaggery (100 g) are boiled in one litre of water. The solution is diluted with nine litres of water and crushed garlic (10 g) is added. He uses this practice to get rid of fruit flies in all the crops. Strychnos nux-vomica L. was found to control the serpentine leaf miner (Liriomyza trifolii) population on tomato (Nath, P and Singh, R K (2007) Vegetable Science) Use of garlic as insecticide is well known.
