Title Unripened Chikoo for Bloat in Animals

Details Veermanbhai, 69, has learnt the following practice from his father and has been practising it for long. He has studied till 6th standard and wants to disseminate knowledge acquired from his elders through Honey Bee. Animal suffering from bloat has a distended stomach which sounds like a drum when tapped lightly. The animal tends to be dull and loses appetite. Veermanbhai takes three unripe chikoos (sapotas, Manilkara zapota (L.) P. Royen), cuts them in small pieces and mixes them in one litre of water and keeps for half an hour. He then gives it to the animal twice a day. This causes loose motion and the animal gets relief from the bloat.
