Manhar bhai of village Mendhari takes about 50 g roots of junglee aadoo (Costus speciosus (J.Konig) Sm.) and boils it in water. The decoction is taken as syrup once a day for a week. It is said to provide relief from arthritis pain.
Mr Manharbhai (35) is a spiritual person. He has good knowledge of the use of some local herbs and treats patients suffering from diseases like arthritis and digestive problems. He has been treating the patients for the past 14 years, free of cost.
