Mr Hemanta K Sahu of Orissa takes three pellets of camphor in a pot. To this he adds 100 gm of edible soda (sodium bicarbonate) and 200 ml of alcohol. He serves this solution to the affected animal once a day for three days. The condition of the animal improves and ulcers and wounds heal up quickly. Mr Sahu has treated 20 cases of FMD with success using camphor.
(The preparation of Cinnamomum camphora, sodium bicarbonate along with alcohol has been administered systemically. The combination
may have potent action over
cytokine cascade pathway causing fever. Ed.) |
