Title Control of Ash weevil in Brinjal
 
Details The young brinjal crop (upto two months) is susceptible to ash weevil attack. The young grubs infect the foliage of the crop leading to reduction of photosynthetic area of leaf. Farmers of Sundararajapuram village burn the leaves of avaram (Cassia auriculata) in a mud pot and expose the crop foliage to the fumes. This reduces the damage caused by the pest. Sundararajapuram village, Rajapaluyam Taluka, Virudhunagar District It is used as a pesticide in KUMAON tribal community. (Pandey, G., G.C. Joshi, N.K. Pandey and K.C.
