Ambarambhai learnt this practice from his forefathers. He mixes 20 to 25 kg of common salt with about 10 cart loads of natural manure and applies in his farm during the month of Jyeshtha–Vaishakh (May). It would be more effective if the mixture is applied uniformly in all the furrows.
Ambarambhai received 10 maunds of cotton produce per vigha (1/3 of acre). He believes that the manure increases the crop’s resistance to pests |
