One matured coconut kernel, 100g of common salt, 50g of `kolunchi' (Tephrosia purpurea) leaves and 50g of turmeric are pounded and mixed in one litre of fermented rice water. This is given to the animal for 7 days. If the animal stops grazing then a handful of leaves of bottle gourd (Lagenaria sciceraria) are pounded and mixed with the fermented rice water. This is fed to the animal for 7 days to improve its appetite. |
